General

Q: What is ATTP?

A: The Alliance of Technology Transfer Professionals (ATTP) was established to recognize and promote individuals with these core competencies and to provide approved training for individuals wishing to acquire these skills and become Registered Transfer Professionals (RTTP).

Q: Why is a NEW professional body necessary?

A: There is increasing recognition of TT as a profession at many levels, but TT does not currently have the mechanisms associated with a profession, such as a well established body of knowledge, clearly defined entry criteria and a recognized professional development pathway. We, as the leading associations of Technology Transfer Professionals around the world wish to develop these. It is clear that other organizations are beginning to develop approaches to this and our own research amongst membership says that there is a desire for this. We feel it is right that the leading associations of Tech Transfer practitioners take leadership for the development of our profession.

Q. Is there a summary document of the benefits of ATTP?

Q. What routes can I take to become an RTTP?
